How did Offset Printing begin?
In 1875, Robert Barclay presented the very first offset printing press in England. A printing technique in which an inked picture has transferred from a plate to a rubber sheet. Then, it has stamped onto the paper or any other material. This process is also called the lithographic process. It is a unique process because it does not transfer on piece and the repulsion of inks has different colors. Instead of doing that, it transfers ink to a rubber sheet and then prints it on the form. Various businesses widely prefer offset print services.
Mechanism
The cutting techniques and the sharp images make a perfect product presentation. RGB and CMYK are the two modes used for mixing colors in designing and creating images. The four-color process CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks) prints colorful photos.
Different materials such as rubber, metal, plastic, and paper have constructed the plates. With the help of the photochemical process, we can place images on paper. The oil-based inks are for printing over the image area on the form. Water is along with it on the non-image area, which is afterward washed away to reject ink at that non-image area.

How Offset Printing differs from 5 other printing techniques?
The printing company offers various range of product. Most of the printing techniques provide the same kind of product with different methods. So, we’ll let you know why people prefer offset printing over the other printing companies.
● Screen Printing
Offset printing is used to print paper products like paper bags, brochures, books, and books. At the same time, screen printing is used for printing over products such as paper cups, plastic containers, jars, plastic bottles, glass bottles, and considerably much more.
● 3D Printing
No doubt, 3D Printing is a type of advanced printing method in the 21st century. It is a construction of a three-dimensional object. The materials used for printing release toxic particles into the environment. Those particles affect the air badly, which in turn can harm human health. That’s why most people prefer Offset instead of 3D printing.
● Digital printing
Offset printing is far better than digital printing. Why? Because digital printing shows better results on short-run printing (fewer copies). Offset printing is the best option when you are going for a large scale of at least 1000 copies.
● Rotogravure
The rotogravure printing does not use printing plates. But instead, the graphics have been engraved into a metal cylinder. The metal cylinders transfer it directly onto the object. The initial cost set up for cylinder can be very high, but offset printing is cost-effective.
● Flexography
Flexography utilizes a flexible relief plate. Flexography cannot produce extensive artwork as compared to offset printing. Moreover, the colors in the final product are not so delicate and bold as they are in offset printing.
Offset Printing is better
Still, offset printing provides sharp, clear images and is a dominant printing method. It is the cheapest printing method, even for pharmaceutical packaging. It implies .a wide range of printing elements like paper, rough paper, wood, cloth, metal, plastic, and leather. Short runs may have a high unit cost, but the unit cost decreases as the quantity increases. Offset printing offers high-quality printing and is far better than other printing means.
